For those who know firearms, they also most likely know that Sig Sauer is well known for making quality firearms. It seems that the predator hunter is no stranger to using Sig Sauer while hunting all over the world. This is why my anticipation was high when I recently had the opportunity to try one of Sig Sauers newest edition to their M400 line of AR-15’s chambered in .223.
The New M400 Vanish is a well built, lightweight firearm coming out in October of 2017.

When I received this gun, I immediately took it to the range to see how well that it would perform. The optics that I used was the Sig Sauer Whiskey 3 2-7 x 32mm. In my opinion this scope not only performs well, but looks great combined with the M400 Vanish. Thanks to the Aexon Absoutele Zero I was zeroed in within 3 shots. After zeroing in, I shot several more distances at 100, 150, 200, and 225 yards. At each distance, the groups were tight because of the Vanish’s smooth recoil. The Matchlite Duo Trigger is also very nice because of it’s ability to eliminate pulling the trigger too hard.
The .223 has been a popular caliber for a lot of coyote hunters. I know that the look of the firearm has nothing to do with it being the ultimate predator hunting gun. However, a popular caliber such as the .223 combined with the camouflage look, makes this firearm one that I can see catching a predator hunters eye while sitting on a display. My overall impression of the M400 Vanish is it is going to be a predator hunters go to gun. I’ve been able to take it on a few hunts since receiving it and have discovered that it is lightweight, which makes it easy to carry all day when making multiple stands. It is also made well which means that it will withstand the abuse that predator hunters are famous for, and the incredible accuracy will result in more dead coyotes.
