This time of year is an exciting one in the firearm industry. One of the most intriguing things that takes place this time of year is the Shot Shot in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, many manufactures announce their NEW products for the upcoming year. While thousands of people made their way through the show, many visited the Kimber Mfg booth. Even though Kimber has many new firearms for 2019, one in specific caught our attention, that being the MOUNTAIN ASCENT (SUBALPINE) rifle, new for 2019. This lightweight rifle will be a great firearm for the big game hunter. Especially those that have to work through the tough terrain while hunting. This so called ultimate high country mountain rifle is perfect for this type of hunter due to its weight shaving features, such as carbon fiber reinforced stock, fluted barrel, spiral fluted bolt body & skeletonized bolt knob and extractor, all of this brings this great looking rifle in at a under 5 lbs. while still retaining Sub-MOA accuracy!
